the studio

We are a small studio. And we like it that way. The 1st floor is our yoga studio.

The ground floor of our studio features our locker room and three individual changing rooms. There is one shower for students to use after class.

OUR HEAT

far infrared radiant heat — a healthy heating system

The Bridge is equipped with Enerjoy Far Infrared Radiant Heat Panels, providing the healthiest, greenest and safest heating system available.

Unlike most forced air heating systems, far infrared panels are natural, silent and non-allergenic. Our heating mechanism at The Bridge ensures that we are able to safely breathe healthy, clean air in our hot yoga classes. Infrared heating is a natural form of heating for our bodies. With far infrared radiant heating, an electric current is passed through a panel made up of multiple layers of carbon graphite, copper, and nanosilver to emit a wave of infrared. When you practice yoga under these panels, it will feel like you are sitting under the sun but without the dangerous effects of solar radiation.

Unlike with conventional heaters, far infrared heating panels do not heat up the air but rather transmit infrared radiation uniformly, which is absorbed by the body. The far infrared waves have the potential to penetrate 1.5 to 2 inches or more into the body allowing for deep heat that raises your core body temperature from the inside-out. The waves then help in opening the body’s sweat glands. When far infrared waves are applied to water molecules, which comprise 70% of our body, these molecules begin to vibrate and then breakdown, causing the body’s encapsulated gases and toxic materials to release through our skin and sweat glands. Sweating is one of the only methods by which the body can eliminate toxins. And sweating under far infrared heat is the safest, healthiest, greenest, and most therapeutic way to do hot yoga.

Yoga in the heat helps increase circulation, which is helpful for those who suffer from circulatory issues and arthritis. Increased circulation can help with reducing pain and easing joint stiffness. It reduces inflammation—which is the leading cause of disease. An additional benefit of heat is improved flexibility which directly supports longevity.

Feel this heat for yourself. It’s amazing!
